For the seventh time, the Stendal district is hosting an “open-air” event. On Wednesday, June 10, starting at 9 a.m., students in seventh grade and above from secondary schools in the Hanseatic city as well as from Bismark Secondary School are invited to the Wüste Worth parking lot to learn about future opportunities from more than 50 exhibitors.
For the first time, the district administration is receiving support from the BIC Altmark Business Development and Startup Center for this training and internship fair. The center brings students directly to the businesses so they can learn about training opportunities. Initially, the Ramelow department store, the Tonke fashion boutique, and the Theater der Altmark (TdA) are participating in this pilot project. Each company is offering two time slots to provide a first glimpse behind the scenes. Registration via the Stendal district website is required. Spots are limited.

This highlights just how meticulously the operations of a modern department store are organized. Participants gain insight into the processes that work together daily to provide customers with a seamless shopping experience. Ten spots are available for each tour.
Tonke: Fashion, Crafts, and Product Display
The Tonke fashion house combines retail, precision craftsmanship, and creative design under one roof. During a visit, participants are introduced to the various areas of the business—from styling consultations and the sale of high-quality fashion to the alterations department and the decoration of sales floors and store windows. Participants will learn how garments are individually tailored and the importance of appealing product presentation for the shopping experience. This provides a comprehensive insight into the diverse range of tasks at a modern fashion house. There are five spots available for each tour.
Altmark Theater: Many Roles for a Successful Performance

This highlights just how many people with diverse skill sets are involved in a production. Participants learn about various training and career paths and gain an understanding of how the collaboration of numerous specialists makes every performance a special experience. There are 20 spots available for each tour.
