Background to the adjustment
The technical equipment of the authorities and the continuous further development of security standards, including the online ID function, result in additional costs. The adjustment is standardized nationwide and set by law, meaning that local authorities have no influence on the level of fees.
New fees in detail:
*Identity card for persons aged 24 and over = 46 euros
*Identity card for persons under 24 years of age = 27.60 euros
*Additional costs for the creation of passport photos at the residents' registration office = 6 euros (other service providers may charge higher fees)
