The trade union "ver.di" has called on all employees in local public transport in the district of Stendal, including the operator of the Stendalbus bus network, to strike on Friday, March 20. The specific extent of the strike participation cannot be reliably estimated in advance. It must therefore be assumed that there may be disruptions to scheduled services and school transport, which cannot be guaranteed to the usual extent.
This does not apply to journeys operated by service providers contracted by Stendalbus. In the Osterburg and Bismark area, this applies to Heeder Reisen and RVA, and in the Tangerhütte and Tangermünde area to Bus- und Taxibetrieb Krüger. The Bauz bus company operates on the East Elbe side. It is also very likely that services on routes 900, 910, 920, 930, 940, 950, 960 and 970 can be maintained.
Regular bus service will not be operating within the city limits of Stendal. Passengers are advised to plan alternative travel arrangements or to leave early—especially to ensure they arrive on time for the start of school.
