Medical Director Dr. Dr. med. Daniel Kügler is leaving his position as Medical Director for personal reasons in order to concentrate fully on his work as Chief Physician of the Clinic for Internal Medicine and Internal Intensive Care Medicine. Dr. Michael Schoof has been recruited to take over responsibility as Medical Director at Seehausen Hospital - initially on an interim basis. As Medical Director of the Altmark-Klinikum, he has been familiar with the special features of regional healthcare for many years and knows the challenges and opportunities for further development.
Managing Director Jürgen Richter pays tribute to Dr. Kügler's decision and thanks him for the dedicated work with which he has shaped the development of Seehausen Hospital as a member of the Board of Directors over the past three years and helped to shape its integration into the Salus Altmark Holding network. "His focus on chief medical responsibility is particularly important because internal medicine plays a central role alongside surgery in providing reliable basic and standard care to the population," says Jürgen Richter, referring to Dr. Kügler's broad range of expertise, which includes gastroenterology, intensive care medicine, palliative medicine, nutritional medicine and interventional pneumology.
Dr. med. Michael Schoof is a specialist in internal medicine, diabetologist and geriatrician, who has been part of the management team of Salus Altmark Holding (SAH) as Medical Managing Director since 2019 in addition to his work as Chief Physician at Altmark-Klinikum Gardelegen. "He is rooted in the region, enjoys trust and is very familiar with the medical care landscape in the Altmark. These are good prerequisites for further developing Seehausen Hospital for the future, even under difficult conditions," says Jürgen Richter, who is also focusing on the opportunities for closer cooperation between the SAH hospital sites and further improving patient-centered cooperation with GPs and specialists working on an outpatient basis.
In addition to the Medical Director, the Board of Directors of Seehausen Hospital includes the Head of Nursing Nicole Hinkelmann, the Commercial Director Florian Landsmann and the Head of Administration Heike Leue.
