The municipality was represented by Corinna Deistler (Tourist Information Office of the Hanseatic City of Seehausen/Altmark), Dr. Walter Fiedler—in true style in his role as tower keeper—and Juliane Güntzel (Tourism Promotion). The tower watchman in particular attracted a lot of attention: he was busy all day long, making his rounds through the dense crowds of visitors and handing out flyers about the tower watchman's apartment and the popular "Türmerlinge" (tower watchman's cookies).
Visitors also showed great interest in the "Cycling by Numbers" flyer, which was in high demand. The general overview map of the Seehausen (Altmark) municipality also attracted a lot of interest and was distributed in large numbers.
The conversations at the stand clearly showed that the region enjoys attention beyond the state borders: many interested guests came from Berlin, the surrounding area, and all over Germany.
The presentation focused on the tourist highlights of the municipality of Seehausen – Hanseatic City of Seehausen (Altmark) in the Hanseatic region of Altmark. Among other things, the impressive St. Peter's Church with the tower keeper's apartment, the tower clock museum, the Bretsch megalithic tombs, the Barsberge foresters' trail, the Beuster blue light museum, and the Wanzer post mill were presented.
The appearance at the Green Week 2026 was an overall success for the municipality of Seehausen (Altmark) and provided an excellent opportunity to present the diversity and attractiveness of the region to a wide audience.
