The municipality of Seehausen (Altmark) will demolish the former youth recreation center. The building is at risk of collapse due to major structural and safety-related defects and can no longer be used. The demolition will remove a hazard and unseal a previously sealed area.
The resulting open space will be directly connected to the neighboring "Lindenpark" daycare center. This will create additional natural play space with flower beds, herb and vegetable patches, a football pitch and an obstacle course. The children were able to actively contribute their ideas and wishes to the planning.
The total costs of the project amount to €58,310. The project is being funded with € 52,479 from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in Saxony-Anhalt.
The municipality of Seehausen is thus setting a further example for safe, natural and child-friendly play and learning spaces in the town.
