In connection with the construction of the new A 14 between the Seehausen-Nord interchange and Wittenberge, we would like to inform you about the following planned work:
From Monday, August 24, at 8:00 a.m., through Monday, August 31, the B 189 will be completely closed in both directions from just north of the Vielbaum turnoff to just north of the Geestgottberg turnoff. A detour will be posted. In both directions, the detour will follow State Road L 2 (Seehausen junction/Talergalgen industrial park), State Road L 38 (Seehäuser Straße/Eickhof), and County Road K 1020 (Losenrade junction).
The restrictions are due to work on the road drainage system. This work is intended to prepare for the opening of the eastbound lane of the future A 14. As things stand, the section is scheduled to open on August 31, initially as a federal highway, while the state of Saxony-Anhalt renovates the Elbe Bridge on the current B 189.
