Service description
The registry office in your place of residence will accept your declaration of withdrawal from the church. You can make a verbal declaration for the record at the registry office; a written declaration must be notarized.
What documents are required?
- Identity card
With the certificate of withdrawal from the religious community, you can have the church tax canceled at your local tax office.
What fees apply?
- Acceptance of the declaration of withdrawal from the church: 30.00 euros
What else should I know?
Children and young people can leave the church as follows:
- up to the age of 7: by legal representatives
- from the age of 7 until the age of 12: by the legal representative or by the child themselves with the consent of the legal representative
- from the age of 12: declaration of withdrawal by legal representative with the child's prior consent
- from the age of 14 (religious maturity): by young people themselves
