The Hanseatic City of Seehausen (Altmark) is planning to renovate the park pond in the Schönberg district (Seehausen Altmark). The first step in this process is the development of a technical renovation plan by an external planning firm.
The pond, which covers an area of approximately 2,300 m², has repeatedly come under scrutiny due to strong odors and significant discoloration of the water. The goal of the project is to stabilize water quality in the long term, restore the ecological balance, and preserve the pond as a valuable natural and recreational space in the town center.
The total cost of developing the concept is €16,243.50. Of this amount, 70% (€11,370.45) is funded through LEADER/ELER. The municipality’s share of the costs is €4,873.05.
The conceptual design is expected to be completed in 2027 and will serve as the basis for the subsequent implementation of the pond restoration project.
