The competition for the "Altmark 2026 Business Award" has officially started. Successful and committed companies from the region will be honored for the 23rd time. Companies from all sectors in the Altmark can still apply until June 30, 2026.
The business award recognizes companies that contribute to the development of the region through their innovative strength, entrepreneurial commitment and economic success and at the same time act as ambassadors for the Altmark.
In addition to three main prizes, the special categories "Tourism & Gastronomy" and "Business Start-up" will once again be awarded. The "Start-up" category is aimed at young companies that have been active on the market for at least one year and no more than three years. Companies that have been in existence for at least three years can apply for the main prizes.
All categories are endowed with a winner's package worth a total of 3,000 euros. This includes prize money of 2,500 euros as well as a marketing and communication package from the Altmärkischer Regionalmarketing- und Tourismusverband (ART) worth around 500 euros.

The award ceremony will take place on November 20, 2026 in the Rustica event barn at Winterfelder Hof.
The Altmark Business Award is a joint initiative of numerous regional players, including the two Altmark districts, the savings banks and partners from business, administration and institutions. The Altmark Regional Marketing and Tourism Association is responsible for organization and public relations.
