On September 1, 2026, Merle Hemstedt, Cheyenne Angelique Hild, Lena Sophie Kintzel, Celine Joy Olke, Nils Strach, Jasmin Swacinna, and Justin Ricardo Wähner began their training as registered nurses. Seehausen Hospital is thus sending a strong message against the shortage of skilled workers and is making targeted investments in training qualified young professionals in the healthcare sector.
The demand for well-trained nursing staff is high everywhere. “Nursing is a profession with enormous social significance, high job security, and good opportunities for professional growth,” emphasizes Nicole Hinkelmann, Director of Nursing Services. “We are proud to support the next generation of nursing professionals on their journey, and we warmly welcome our new colleagues to the team.”

After 7 weeks of theoretical training at the Salzwedel Nursing School, the young people are now looking forward to their first direct interactions with patients at the hospital. To ensure they can successfully apply what they’ve learned in theory at nursing school to real-world practice, the trainees are supported by experienced clinical instructors on the wards during their clinical rotations. On their first day at Seehausen Hospital, the trainees familiarize themselves with the hospital’s various departments before being assigned to the individual wards. Here, with the helpful support of their clinical instructors, they can now put what they’ve learned into practice and gain their first hands-on experience.
Those interested in the next training program starting on September 1, 2027, can already find more information and apply on the hospital's website.
