The change had been added to the agenda after the previous chief medical officer, Dr. Dr. med. Daniel Kügler, stepped down from his position for personal reasons. Prior to this, the management of Salus Altmark Holding agreed to a mutually acceptable solution and thanked Dr. Dr. Kügler for his contributions to the development of Seehausen Hospital. His successor, PD Dr. med. Helmut Jablonowski, will serve as acting chief medical officer until the position is filled through the regular hiring process, which requires a competitive application procedure.
The recently established referral clinic in the fields of pulmonology and gastroenterology in Havelberg—for which Dr. Dr. Kügler has been authorized by the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians of Saxony-Anhalt—will continue to be run by him for the time being. Possible alternatives to his previous specialist consultations at the Seehausen location are still being worked out.
