Voter notification letters, which will be mailed no earlier than July 26, 2026, must be received by eligible voters no later than August 16, 2026. If you have not received your election notification by that date, please contact info@vgem-seehausen.de.
To apply for an absentee ballot, you will find an application form on the back of your election notice.
You can fill out this form and send it to us. Please make sure to include your date of birth, the date of submission, and your signature on the form.
If you are submitting the application on behalf of someone else, please be sure to complete the power of attorney section at the bottom of the form.
You can then submit the completed application form in person at the Residents’ Registration Office during our hours of operation. You can also request voting materials in writing by fax or email from the Residents’ Registration Office. No specific format is required. The following information is required: first and last name, date of birth, residential address, and, if desired, a different mailing address. The administration notes that you cannot apply for an absentee ballot in Seehausen by phone.
Our hours of operation:
Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. / 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. / 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Please note that it is not possible to apply by phone or online.
As a general rule, election materials may only be requested by the eligible voter themselves. If you are requesting election materials on behalf of someone else, you will need a power of attorney to do so.
The request for absentee voting materials must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026. After this deadline, requests will only be accepted in exceptional cases. Please also allow approximately four days for delivery.
